A school break lasts ten minutes. Five go on the walk to the staff room, three on working out who is on corridor duty. That leaves two for coffee. A machine in the staff room will not make the break longer, but it can make the trip to the coffee shorter.

First the key point, because everything else depends on it: the Alnos Vending offer for schools covers areas for staff and adults. It is not aimed at pupils.

Who the machine is for

The page for universities and secondary schools lists three kinds of place:

  • teachers’ staff rooms,
  • administration, meaning the school office and other offices,
  • shared areas for adults, for example at a university.

The pupils’ corridor is not on that list, and that is not an oversight. We are not writing another piece about hungry pupils. This one is about staff.

In a school the rules apply, in the staff room too

This one is easy to miss. In schools and other units of the Polish education system, a machine, including the one in the staff room, may offer only products allowed by law. That means art. 52c of the Polish act on food safety and nutrition and the Health Minister’s regulation of 16 February 2026 (Dz.U. 2026 item 197).

In those places we tailor the range to the site within those limits. We do not interpret the law for the school here, and we give no product list. We do not offer energy drinks anywhere.

At a university, the offer is likewise for staff and adult users of the building. We tailor the range to the site.

Which machine for the staff room

A staff room can be tight, so every metre counts. The coffee machine AV-TCN-NCF-7N makes coffee from freshly ground beans and drinks from soluble products. It needs water: from bottles inside the machine or from a mains line, agreed for the site. The snack machine AV-TCN-CSC-8C and the vending cooler AV-AF-CFZ-510 only need power and signal.

The dimensions of all three side by side are in the guide on our three vending machines. Worth holding them up against the wall before someone suggests the spot behind the filing cabinet.

If the staff room already has a kettle and a filter coffee maker, the machine does not have to replace them. It can stand alongside as an option for anyone who wants coffee from freshly ground beans and has no time to wait for someone to wash the jug. That is the school’s decision; we can suggest which model fits the room without moving the cupboards. The coffee machine’s screen runs in Polish and in English.

The staff room key and service

Staff rooms can be locked. Good for staff, and important for us, because Alnos Vending staff have to reach the machine to refill and service it. Who opens up, when, and through which entrance is agreed with the school’s management. The scope of service is in the contract.

The machine stands indoors only. It needs a separate earthed 230 V socket and mobile signal or Wi-Fi. After installation, only Alnos Vending moves the machine, so if the summer holidays mean repainting the room, tell us before the school year ends.

Payment and the label

Payment is cashless; we confirm the details when we set the machine up. There is no coin slot. The machine carries a Polish label with +48 84 300 10 10 and hello@alnosvending.pl. The deposit on bottles and cans is shown separately from the product price.

The school office, administration and adult visitors

The staff room is not the only option. The machine can stand in the administration area, by the school office, or where adult visitors to the school wait. The rule stays the same: an area for staff and adults, and in a school only products allowed by law.

At a university there are more adult areas: staff rooms, faculty offices, shared spaces. There too, we agree the spot and tailor the range to the site. The choice between a staff room and a shared area depends on who is meant to use the machine.

Holidays, half-terms and the school year

A school has a rhythm an office does not: winter break, summer holidays, days without lessons. Staff and administration may work then too, just fewer of them. Mention it at the start, because it affects the mix and when our staff can get into the building. The scope of service is written into the contract.

If the school closes or is renovated over the summer, that is a good moment to talk about the machine’s spot. Only Alnos Vending moves it, so better to settle it in June than in the last week of August.

The bell

We work in Zamość, Lublin and Rzeszów. If your school or university is in one of those cities, describe the room and who uses it: hello@alnosvending.pl, +48 84 300 10 10, or a Golden Ticket, the machine enquiry form. More short answers are in the FAQ. Two minutes for coffee is not much. Better not to spend them in the corridor.
