A Gym Machine: Inside the Club, Not by the Street Entrance

Last set, last rep, and the water bottle has been empty for twenty minutes. The changing room has nothing in it except a bench and someone’s forgotten sock. A machine at the gym exists so that after training, water is a few steps away rather than in the shop round the corner.

This is not a piece about what to eat after a workout. We do not know your programme and will not pretend to. It is about where the machine stands in the club and which model fits.

Inside the club, not by the street entrance

The Places page says: drinks and snacks in the club, inside the building. “Inside” is the key word. Alnos Vending machines do not stand outdoors, and not in an entrance porch where rain gets in and, in winter, the frost.

Good spots are the reception area, the corridor by the changing rooms, or a lounge area. Each is indoors, dry, and has a socket.

Showers make bad neighbours

A gym has one trap an office does not: damp. The vending cooler must not stand in a wet room or anywhere water splashes. It needs a dry, ventilated room; according to the manufacturer, air humidity can be between 5 and 90 %, with no condensation. The snack machine also has to stay away from water and splashes.

So the machine does not go in the changing room by the showers, or by the pool if the club has one. The corridor outside the changing room, a few steps further on, is usually enough.

It is also better not to put the machine right by the group-class studio, where everyone leaves through one door at the same time after a session. A few metres further on, by reception or in the lounge area, a queue at the machine does not block the exit. The socket by the treadmills may already be taken by equipment, and according to the manufacturer the machine needs its own separate socket, so that is worth checking before we talk. We check the power at the site before setting up anyway.

A gym machine: drinks, snacks and what will not be there

The snack machine AV-TCN-CSC-8C is the natural fit for a club: bottled drinks and snacks, chosen on a 49″ screen. The vending cooler AV-AF-CFZ-510 keeps water and drinks behind glass, and if the club wants, food can go in it too. The Products page lists water, drinks and juices.

There are no energy drinks in Alnos Vending machines, at the gym included. We know this is exactly where someone might ask for one. The answer stays the same. We name no brands, and we tailor the range to the site. More on the drinks themselves is in the guide on the drinks machine.

The deposit, and paying without pockets

Bottles and cans with the deposit-system mark have the deposit shown separately from the product price. The machine does not take empties back. The deposit is refunded at shops and collection points that take back packaging in the deposit system.

Payment is cashless; we confirm the details when we set the machine up. There is no coin slot, which makes sense at a gym, because leggings rarely come with a pocket for change.

What the club provides

A spot inside the building, a separate earthed 230 V socket, and mobile signal or Wi-Fi. The snack machine needs at least 20 cm behind it for ventilation and a firm, level floor. We fix it to the wall or the floor so it cannot tip over, even if someone leans on it after a set of deadlifts.

Alnos Vending provides installation, refilling and service, and the scope is in the contract. After installation, only Alnos Vending moves the machine, so when the gym equipment gets rearranged, please leave it where it is.

Club hours and service visits

A fitness club may be open from early morning until late evening. The machine stands inside, so it is available whenever the club is. Alnos Vending staff come to refill and service the machine, so it is worth agreeing times when carrying stock in does not get in anyone’s way. If the club has busier and quieter hours, a service visit in a quieter slot suits everyone. The scope of service is in the contract.

One machine or two

A small club can start with one snack machine: bottled drinks and snacks in one place. The vending cooler helps when the club wants more drinks on view at once, or food as well. Coffee is an option too. The coffee machine makes coffee from freshly ground beans, but it needs water, which means one more thing to agree: bottles inside the machine or a mains line.

A side-by-side comparison of all three models is in the guide on our three vending machines.

Cool-down

We work in Zamość, Lublin and Rzeszów. Describe the club and the spot you have in mind: hello@alnosvending.pl, +48 84 300 10 10, or a Golden Ticket, the machine enquiry form, not a bodybuilding contest. The sock in the changing room will stay. The water will be closer.
