Heading out for coffee has its charms: fresh air, a chat on the way, sometimes rain down your collar. It also has its costs: a jacket, the elevator, the crosswalk and the line. A coffee machine in the building won’t replace a café, but it gives you a second option.
Coffee One Floor Down Instead of a Block Away
The Coffee Machine stands in the kitchen, the corridor or the break room. The coffee comes from freshly ground beans, with drinks from soluble products alongside. A drink is ready in about 60 seconds, according to the manufacturer’s data.
What We Don’t Calculate
How many minutes the team saves, how many fewer steps it takes or how much productivity goes up. We don’t publish calculations like that. This isn’t a benefits post or an office-vibes post.
When It Makes Sense
- the café is far away, or there isn’t one,
- breaks are short,
- the weather doesn’t invite a stroll,
- someone prefers coffee at their desk, in a takeaway cup.
What You Need to Provide
A spot inside the building, a separate earthed 230 V socket, signal and an agreed water supply. The rest, installation, refilling and service, is provided by Alnos Vending. More on offices is on the Places page.
The Café Isn’t the Competition
A walk for coffee is still a great idea on a Friday. The machine is for the other days. The comparison with a coffee maker is in the guide on office coffee makers vs. coffee vending machines.

The jacket can stay on the hook. The coffee is one floor down.
